I started listening because I was a huge fan of Let’s to go to court. It doesn’t replace it, but it comes pretty close. I literally laugh out loud every episode.

I was actually surprised I enjoyed the JC Penney story!! At first I was like….huh, ok then. But it was super interesting!! And I love that since I found this podcast, I can now drop things into conversation, like let me tell you about the time the Olympics decided to start a marathon at 3 pm and how well THAT went. I love history and the way that Norm and Kristin tell it is so engaging and fun

Love all the series! Well worth the listen.

Mostly love minus Kristin's random singing when she slightly recognizes ANY song/ fake-mad screaming about stuff in an unsure tone. Also cutting norm off when he's trying to give context in the last JC penny episode was rude and I think she was trying to be funny but it was actually just rude and immature. We get it stocks, so boring but part of the story Normthenonethreateningman was trying to tell. I think we just need a Norm pod. I can take Kristin in small doses but holy obnoxious, I cannot most days.

It dawned on me that in every episode Kristin is either complaining about something, fishing for compliments, or both. Usually both. That behavior goes all the way back to LGTC too, but her former co-host rounded her out.

I absolutely love the podcast. The epic series on Robert Smalls is now the gold standard! Also, you may want to look up the oral history of the “Itis” before you talk about it. It took me by surprise to hear you say that. I would love it if you covered Black Wall Street in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am a descendant of the Tulsa Race Massacre, and I even received a writing fellowship about my pilot, “Greenwood,” about my great aunt's experience at the height of Black Wall Street!

When the old decrepit podcast, LGTC, ended, I was much to upset to venture into anything new. So I decided to do a one-woman protest of this new podcast with Kristin and Kristin’s husband, Normie-C. Well, I finally gave in and binged all 50+ episodes in two weeks and i can say I truly enjoy it just as much as LGTC. I was once a History Dummy, but have now transformed into a History-Ho.

And I believe this podcast will succeed! They’re funny, weird, smart and I could have them in my ears all day! Great new podcast!

This pod is freaking fantastic! I adore how much they have been saying, “Tuberculosis”. Seriously! As someone who works specifically in the TB field in current times, I can assure not many people ever think or mention TB. The mere mention of it has delighted me and the fact that Norm took time to pronounce it correctly! I have learned so much from you both and your well researched episodes and have had a lot of laughs along the way! Everybody listen already!

I’m not subscribed to the Patreon so I can’t watch the video, but every time Norm plays that YouTube “ding” sound effect, I imagine him quickly turning to the camera with a huge wide eyed smile and a thumbs up

I was heartbroken when LGTC ended, but OTP has filled the hole in my cold heart. I have learned so many facts that my ADHD will only retain for a short time, so I can relisten again and again.

I look forward to the episodes every Wednesday (and all the monthly bonus episodes on Patreon) I have learned a lot from An Old Timey Podcast like two things can be true, people are still hunting hitler, and soundboards are criminally underused in other podcasts.

I love the dynamic of this small, sexy independent podcast. Norm and Kristen are such a great couple. This isn't the history you learn in school, but it is the history and hilarity you'll remember.

LGTC was my gateway drug to An Old Timey Podcast. Naturally, I fell for Norm’s storytelling and sound effects, but my alliance is (and always will be) with Kristin. Norman, do not grow that neck beard. You will look like a chode from the shoulders up. I will be withholding my Patreon membership until you agree to end this charade.

I hate history, but I love listening to this podcast! Norm and Kristin are hilarious. I’m a little obsessed with their sweet relationship and envious of how easily they make each other laugh. I will never admit it to my 7th grade history teacher, but I really enjoy learning about historical characters and events through their lenses!

Kristen and Norm are delightful. Well researched and it keeps my attention whilst scrubbing my house on the weekends. Love the BYE at the end of every episode and would love it more if you brought back Dr.Phil clip too. I can hear about how history really does repeat itself but still chuckle by the end of it. I’ve been down with Kristin (and Norm) since LGTC and was devastated when my favorite podcast ended. However, OTP was born and it does not ever disappoint. I am excited for every deep dive. Kristin and Norm do their research, they listen for mistakes, they look into ideas and take their work seriously. To add humor to such consistently brilliant storytelling is the icing on the cake. Bravo on being my first and second favorite podcasts! ❤️✨

Okay, while that may be a bit extreme, my husband and I have vastly different tastes in podcasts which makes road trips hard. This is the only one we both love! We get to learn and laugh and sometimes even pause it to have our own conversations about the content. Not only are Kristen and Norm excellent researchers, but their delivery and banter is witty and hilarious. If your marriage is on the rocks, give it a listen!

Don’t let the long episodes discourage you, once you start listening you will want them to be longer! Anytime a new episode drops I can’t wait to listen. The hosts have a fantastic dynamic, and they are able to make potentially mundane topics interesting and funny.
